Role: Integrative Counsellor

Qualifications: MBACP, Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society (NCS), Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, Post Qualification Diploma in Consultative Supervision

Hello, I’m Marsha.

I’m an experienced, integrative counsellor offering a calm, grounded and non-judgemental space where you can slow down, make sense of what’s happening for you and begin to understand patterns that may be affecting your life.

Sometimes the ways we have learned to cope have helped us get through difficult times, but over time they may no longer work as well for us. You may find yourself feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply aware that something needs to change. Therapy can offer an opportunity to understand these patterns with compassion and explore new ways of looking after your wellbeing and taking better care of yourself.

I have over 10 years’ experience as a specialist NHS Tier 3 counsellor, with particular expertise in emotional relationships with food, trauma, shame and early life experiences. I also support people experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties. I have experience supporting clients who are using or considering GLP-1 medication or weight-loss surgery, recognising that while these can change appetite and food noise, the emotional relationship with food may still need attention.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative and trauma-informed. Whether you’re struggling with something specific or simply feel that life isn’t quite working as it used to, you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.

I’m a Registered Member of the BACP (MBACP) and an Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society (NCS). I hold an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and a Post Qualification Diploma in Consultative Supervision, alongside specialist training in trauma, childhood sexual abuse and rape.

If you feel ready to explore what’s happening for you, I’d be happy to work alongside you.
