Clinical Pilates

What is it?

Pilates is structured in line with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institution model whilst staying person-centred to adapt for any difficulties clients may have. In our clinics we often have patients who have pain that has developed from prolonged sitting and postural weaknesses – developing strong postural stability is our primary goal.

Not sure what Pilates is or involves?

Pilates is an exercise that promotes and develops core strength, balance. wellbeing and general fitness. It focuses on posture, balance and flexibility and is a low impact exercise which reduces risk of injury.

Similar to Yoga, Pilates focuses on bridging the gap between the mind and the body and there’s an emphasis on breathing with delicate control of movements.

Who is it for?

Our pilates sessions are adapted to suit the level of our members and therefore suitable for beginners, intermediates and experts. It ranges from gentle and basic exercises, to more advanced and challenging movements. Your instructor will carefully structure and guide you through the movements in a safe and informative way.

If you are not sure whether Pilates is suitable for you, we’d be happy to discuss this further and advise accordingly, particularly for those that haven’t exercised in awhile, are pregnant or have pre-existing health conditions.

Sessions are 55 minutes

Group sessions are on Monday evenings @ 6pm and Friday mornings @ 10am
