Coronavirus – Protecting our Patients

To all of our valued patients,

Infection control measures and hand washing techniques are not new to us as healthcare professionals. All of our Physiotherapists have worked in the NHS and continue to follow its procedures at all times.

This has always and will always be the case.

These procedures involve:

  • Changing hygiene paper between patients;
  • Washing hands thoroughly between patients;
  • Disinfecting face holes and equipment between patients; and
  • Ensuring disposable consumables and equipment are single patient use only.

And of course this is alongside the day to day cleaning and disinfecting of the clinic rooms and communal areas.

With the current uncertainty and spread of the Coronavirus, we will continue to maintain our high standards of hygiene, but we have also introduced other measures to ensure we are following all guidelines.

You will notice that…

Therapists will not offer a handshake at the start of your appointment. Instead, you will be welcomed with a friendly smile and a greeting.

Therapists may use hand sanitizer during your appointment, in addition to washing between patients.

And communal areas will be disinfected more regularly and we are staggering appointments to avoid congested waiting areas.

Please also be patient at this time as we will be asking additional screening questions and taking extra precautions to help protect our most vulnerable patients.

Recover Physiotherapy is open and running as usual and client health and safety is our number one priority. We ask that you follow the latest guidelines on assessing whether you should come to your appointment and, if in doubt, please give us a call on 01424 444005.

Remember to keep calm, don’t panic and look after each other.
